In the ninth give of Homers Iliad, Achilles makes the unconventional decision by refusing Agamemnons offer. Achilles has much to gain by trothing and forgetting the feud. Also the honor he seeks can be easily regained nevertheless his choice costs him a lot. The moderateness this is a bad choice is because he discredits his honor, he fails to financial aid and lead the multitude, he causes the unnecessary death of many allies, he kills Patroclus, and he disregards his close friendships.
Achilles harms his honor when he denies the treasures in submit for him and because he subsequent chooses to fight. The denying of the treasures hurts his honor because if the priming coat he starts this feuding is for honor, than why does he not want it back. In book cardinal Agamemnon is prepared to grant Achilles more honor than he lost, but Achilles turns it down. It allows one to see Achilles in a childish manner, as a person who holds a grudge just for the interestingness of holing a grudge. His honor is also hurt because he later chooses to fight. This is a bad choice because it shows that Achilles is not strong willed rich to hold out on his promise to never fight for Agamemnon again.



The decision to deny the embassys wishes really hurts Achilles honor and is a reason why Achilles should have agreed to the Embassy.
One reason Achilles does wrong in book nine is because his comrades are in bespeak of his military leadership. In book nine the Achaean army is in desperate need of Achilles because the Trojan army is closing on the Achaean ramparts. One reason they need Achilles is because Agamemnon is not a strong leader and considers retreating. This is shown when Agamemnon says, Well never buzz off the streets of Troy (Iliad 9:32) . It takes Diomedes to rally the kings.
