Wilfred Owen and Siegfried Sassoon
Wilfred Owen, a young poet of the First realism War, was born in 1893 and died in battle November 4, 1918 in battle. Owen had a close relationship with his mother. He was the eldest of four children. He was raised an Evangelical Christian and was a strong worshiper in his faith. His family had little means, and even though he was evaluate at the University of London his entrance scores werent richly enough for him to receive a scholarship. A scholarship was the exactly way he would have been able to attend the University. He gear up himself teaching at a school for constabulary and tutoring. He was in training in Essex and was made a stand by Lieutenant in the Manchester Regiment. Not long afterward, he found himself blown up in the air and was displace to Craiglockharts War Hospital in Edinburgh. This is where he met his friend and fellow poet, Siegfried Sassoon. Sassoon had enceinte up a Jewish-Anglo and was from an affluent family. He spent a lot of time on leisure activities. He had know he wanted to be a poet and actually had had a few poems publish before he enlisted in the Army.

He was almost homage martialed for writing A Soldiers Declaration, which was published in the The Times. Instead of be court martialed he was sent to Craiglockharts War hospital and treated for beat out shock. Owen was being treated there at the same time for shell shock, and this is where the two of them met. These two men found they had much in common in their thinking about the war, and they became best friends.
