Scored Group Discussion: An Assessment Tool
Introduction
Students may achieve very well in their learnedness of knowledge and skills, but lack leadership and communication skills. some(a) of the highest achieving pupils may rargonly speak unless asked a direct question, and horizontal then their responses may be limited. Scored Group Discussion can be used as a vehicle to encourage students to think about and to practise a wider cheat on of skills, specifically communication and problem-solving skills that may be required in their future working life. Throughout this process, the teacher assesses every student in groups of four or five, using the rubric provided, and debriefs them. Students look out that they possess a range of skills and identify those in which they train improvement through training and practice. They are presented with the challenge of improving these vital skills.
